A self-introduction video
Inspired by TV sitcom intros, I set out to create a short video to sum up the work experience of a person who has pivoted a few times along their career path. That person is me, hi.
As a designer with a performing background, I could showcase both skill sets with a multimedia video. Combining still images, video clips, audio recordings, and motion graphics, my goal was to tell the story in less than a minute.
Behind the scenes
For this multimedia video, I decided to collect my material first, and then decide how I would use it to build a story. I have hours of footage, audio recordings, and years of photos. Dear reader, you do not want to know how long it took me to sift through it all.
I took inventory of my job list, and grouping similar jobs together. I made notes on what kind of supporting assets (pictures/audio) I have for each entry. Jobs with the least amount of information will be the first ones to cut if needed.
